International refunds
This page is for students who live outside Canada and do not have a Canadian bank account. If you do have a Canadian bank account, please see the 鈥�Domestic Refunds鈥� page.
General Flywire information
SFU has partnered with Flywire to offer students living outside of Canada, who do not have a Canadian bank account, a secure and simplified payment method for receiving refunds. With this system, you can receive online refunds in either your local currency or Canadian dollars. For more information, please refer to the list of eligible countries for this payment method.
You will receive a notification at your SFU email when a refund has been submitted to Flywire for processing. Please be aware that bank transfer fees and foreign exchange rates may apply.
Flywire also provides multilingual 24/7 through various channels.
Flywire refund request instructions
- If you have an available credit on your student account, please contact Student Accounts.
- Student Accounts will contact you with further instructions or if additional information is required.
*If you have previously paid by Flywire, the available credit will be returned to the source through the same method of payment.
Note
Flywire charges a service fee to send the money. In some countries, you may be charged additional fees.
