Keep studying, your grades still matter
Requirements:
- High school graduation
- Competence in English Language and Quantitative & Analytical Skills
- Minimum 5 approved grade 12 courses for admission (including program-specific requirements)
Current Grade 12 students (Fall)
All courses, both in-person and online, must be complete by June 30 to be used in the admission evaluation.
Summer school courses completed between June 30 and the start of your Fall term at SFU will not be used in your admission evaluation.
Students who have completed Grade 12
If you have already completed your grade 12 year and are upgrading or taking additional high school courses, an official, final transcript, including graduation, must be submitted via STS to the Undergraduate Admissions office. All courses must be complete with final grades on your Ministry of Education transcript by the deadline below.
- Applicants to the Beedie School of Business: February 7
- Applicants to all other programs: February 28
- All distributed learning courses must be 50% complete by March 15, and 100% complete by June 30th. Please arrange for your interim and final grades to be submitted directly by your school.
- We are unable to consider courses completed during the Summer for admission, after the June 30th deadline.
The Student Transcript Service (STS) form authorizes SFU to access your official transcript from the Ministry of Education. Please complete this form by January 31, 2026. If you meet the qualifications for early admission and would like to be considered, please ensure your Student Transcript Service (STS) form is completed as soon as possible after you submit your application.
To complete the form:
Challenge exams will appear on your transcript as the course you are challenging, with the grade you receive on the exam.
We require your final challenge grade to be on your official Ministry of Education transcript along with your interim grades, usually available in April.
When self-reporting your grades, please enter the course you will be challenging with a mark in an equivalent course so we can use it in the evaluation process. For example, if you are challenging French 12 and do not have a grade yet, please self-report French 12 with the grade you received in French 11.
