Campbell wins the Serein Properties Visual Arts Award

SCA alumnus Emma Campbell was awarded the second annual Serein Properties Visual Arts Award. Here's what have to say about Campbell and her now-award-winning work:

Serein Properties is honored to present the second annual Serein Properties Visual Arts Award in partnership with SFU's School for the Contemporary Arts. This annual award honors exceptional talent in sculpture and installation arts, supporting emerging visual artists and celebrating their achievement. We are pleased to recognize Emma Campbell as this year’s award recipient.

Emma Campbell’s awarded work, “Salt Circlesâ€, is a series of prints pulled from a hand carved 45x49 inch matrix made by the artist. These prints were created using the artist‘s body weight. Each print is unique and produced utilizing the chance and unpredictability of print pulling. For the artist, this work is an exploration on the energetic transference between things, investigating how items, people and places can hold memory and residue.

With a commitment to nurturing creativity, Serein Properties is excited to continue empowering artists and fostering creativity within our community.

We couldn't have said it better! Congratulations, Emma!
