The Administrative Coordinator will provide diversified administrative support to the Scientific Director (Dr. Angela Kaida) and the IGH team. This is a grant-funded full-time position with a salary range of $50,000 to $60,000 plus benefits, commensurate with training and experience.
Working Conditions:
Potential for hybrid (virtual and in-person) work arrangement with a minimum of 3-4 days per week in IGH’s offices, which are located at the Harbour Centre Campus of the 91ÅÝܽ, 515 West Hastings Street, Vancouver. Ability to work outside of regular business hours will be necessary to support IGH events. Travel to Ottawa and other cites/towns across Canada may be necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY
The BC NEIHR is seeking for three full-time or part-time regionally-based Indigenous Research Liaison in BC. Under the supervision of the Nominated Principal Applicant, Dr. Krista Stelkia (SFU; BC NEIHR; CCAIHG), Program Manager (BC NEIHR), Network Coordinator, Tara Erb (BC NEIHR), and Senior Research Manager, Anita Manshadi (CCAIHG), as well as working with BC NEIHR’s governance partners (First Nations Health Authority, Métis Nation BC, and BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres), and collaborators such as the BC SUPPORT Unit, the IRL will undertake the following activities:
- Relationship Building
- Liaison & Facilitation
- Mentorship
- Navigation; and
- Other Communications & Training

- Status: Full-time position (37.5 hours/week) or part-time position (20 hours/week) for a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension. BC NEIHR operating hours are from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
- Annual Salary: $70,000 full-time or $35,000 part-time
- Location: Varying regions in British Columbia (BC) and remote. Candidate must be based in BC, as there will be occasional in-person research gatherings and team meetings in Vancouver and at Centre for Collaborative Action on Indigenous Health Governance (CCAIHG) office at SFU Burnaby Campus.

The Indigenizing Health Research Ethics in BC with Indigenous Communities, Collectives and Organizations: Co-Create Wise Practices & Distinctions-Based Ethical Protocols in Indigenous Health Research project is a 3-year Canadian Institutes of Health Research funded project led by Dr. Krista Stelkia in the Faculty of Health Sciences at 91ÅÝܽ. An innovative and Indigenous-led approach to achieving the overarching research goal and aims is grounded in a collaborative network of research ethics partners (Indigenous communities, collectives, organizations [ICCOs], research ethics boards [REBs], and Indigenous health researchers [IHRs]) that centers Indigenous ways of knowing in Indigenizing health research ethics in BC.

The Research Assistant will work collaboratively with the Centre staff (i.e., Director, Senior Research Manager, Project Manager, and Indigenous Trainees), BC Network Environment for Indigenous Health Research (BC NEIHR), FNHA, Principal Investigators, Elder Advisors, Indigenous Research Trainees, Co-Applicants, Collaborators, and SFU interdisciplinary teams to lead and facilitate research activities associated with this project.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Research Assistant (RA) to work on a project to understand the role physical activity has on the physical, mental and cultural well-being of young Indigenous women (18-29 years). The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting interviews, qualitative analyses and working with Indigenous communities. The RA will work with principal investigators Drs. Scott Lear and Krista Stelkia of the Faculty of Health Sciences at 91ÅÝܽ.
