The Leadership & Community Engagement LLC brings together students who are excited to grow their passion for global and community citizenship and develop as leaders in their communities.
Community members will have the opportunity to learn and engage with peers, staff, and campus and community partners through a variety of programs and opportunities that are intentionally designed to engage, challenge, and build community. Members will have the opportunity to reflect on their own skills, beliefs and assumptions, develop their leadership ability, and engage in a service project that is unique to their own areas of interest.
Highlights
- Students who actively participate in the Leadership & Community Engagement LLC and maintain engagement throughout will receive credit on their co-curricular record
- Members will participate in intentionally designed programs and activities that will foster civic engagement, develop core leadership and citizenship skills, and build community
- Use your personal passion or area of interest to complete a guided service project alongside other members of your community

- Eligibility: All full-time undergraduate SFU and FIC students are eligible to apply. SFU exchange students are eligible as long as you are here for two terms (fall and spring).
- Program Length: September 2026 - April 2027
- Commitment: Students should expect to commit approximately 4-6 hours per month for engaging in LLC activities and programs
