MAP National 2025

On June 9-11, in Québec City, the Mobility, Accessibility and Participation (MAP) team met for ¸éé³Ü²Ô¾±´Ç²Ô&²Ô²ú²õ±è;±·²¹³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²¹±ô±ð&²Ô²ú²õ±è;²Ñ´¡±Ê&²Ô²ú²õ±è;2025. The event took place at Parc de la Pointe-aux-Lièvres and brought together researchers, community partners, and stakeholders invested in issues of 

MAP research is a collaboration of academic researchers, community organizations, and municipalities across three provinces (Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia) working on research questions aimed at creating accessible communities. Inclusive Environments team at SFU, presented their work on MAP-SWAN, the Stakeholders’ Walkability/Wheelability Audit in Neighborhoods, a community-engaged project that empowers older adults and people with disabilities to evaluate the accessibility of their neighborhoods and advocate for more inclusive public spaces.
