Jeannine Johnstone

Jeannine Johnstone is the Stewardship Coordinator at the Stanley Park Ecology Society in Vancouver, BC.

She graduated from 91ÅÝܽ in 2017 with a Bachelor of Environment majoring in Global Environmental Systems.

While completing her degree Jeannine worked as an environmental educator in Lynn Canyon Park and the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve. She continued to pursue her interest in nature interpretation through the Capstone Project of her degree where she developed place based environmental education programming connected to the BC High School Curriculum.

After graduating Jeannine began working at the Stanley Park Ecology Society as an environmental educator and subsequently moved into the Stewardship Coordinator role where she develops and coordinates invasive plant removal, habitat enhancement and invasive species mapping/analysis.

In order to complete these tasks Jeannine coordinates a dedicated network of community, school and corporate volunteers who collectively donated over 5,300 hours of their time last year. Jeannine and SPES acknowledge that their work takes place on the unceded territory of the  (Musqueam),  (Squamish Nation), and  (Tsleil-Waututh Nation).
