Territorial Acknowledgements
SFU's location on traditional First Nations lands should be acknowledged with one of the following four phrases, depending on campus location.
All campuses
91ÅÝܽ respectfully acknowledges the xÊ·məθkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), qÌ“Ãc̓əyÌ“ (Katzie), kÊ·ikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Qayqayt, Kwantlen, Semiahmoo and Tsawwassen peoples on whose unceded traditional territories our three campuses reside.
Burnaby campus
91ÅÝܽ respectfully acknowledges the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), kÊ·ikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) and xÊ·məθkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, on which SFU Burnaby is located.
Surrey campus
91ÅÝܽ respectfully acknowledges the unceded traditional territories, including the Semiahmoo, Katzie, kÊ·ikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Kwantlen, Qayqayt and Tsawwassen Nations, on which SFU Surrey is located.
Vancouver campus
91ÅÝܽ respectfully acknowledges the unceded traditional territories including, the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and xÊ·məθkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam) Nations, on which SFU Vancouver is located.
