Study Luxury Business Strategy in one of the luxury capitals of the world—Milan, Italy. MFGCE Milan takes place at for a three-week period. Together, you will embark on an unforgettable experience, including guest speakers and visits to iconic brands such as Gucci, Prada, Armani, Ferrari, and Lamborghini.

This course counts towards a Marketing or Strategic Analysis concentration.
Course Title: BUS 492 Luxury Business Strategy 
Course Description:  Offered as part of the Merrill Family Global Campus Experience, this course is designed to immerse Beedie School of Business students in Italy's vibrant luxury, fashion, and food industries. Through lectures, experiential learning, and cultural activities, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the unique business practices, providing students with firsthand experience of the local culture and business environment. The course will integrate students enrolled at the host university to reinforce international exposure. 
Cost & Funding
All MFGCE participants will receive a subsidy of $2,000 from the Merrill Family Global Campus Experience Fund to support their travel and participation.
This program uses a cost recovery model, meaning the total cost will vary depending on the number of participants. The program cost has also been subsidized in part by the Merrill Family Global Campus Experience Fund.
Maximum Program Cost: $3,200
Program Fee Covers:
- Shared accommodations
- Group transportation
- Experiential activities
- Guest speakers & lecturers
- Some group meals
Additional Costs:
- SFU tuition & fees
- Airfare and personal transportation
- Personal expenses (i.e. food, cellular coverage, travel insurance, visas)
Eligibility & Requirements
This program is open to SFU business major or joint major students only. Visiting, non-degree, diploma, and certificate students are not eligible.
General Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older
- Completion of at least 45 units, including 12 units at SFU
- Minimum SFU CGPA of 2.5 and SFU Business GPA of 2.30
- Successful completion of BUS 360 and BUS 343 with a final grade of C- or higher.

Note: Students who apply to MFGCE will receive a final decision prior to the exchange application deadline so that they may make an informed decision about their study abroad opportunities.
