Business Minor

Stand out with a business minor

No matter your major—whether you’re studying arts, science, health, or technology—adding a Business Minor from SFU Beedie can help you stand out in today’s competitive job market.

Program overview

The Business Minor is designed for SFU students who are non-business majors. It equips you with essential business knowledge and practical skills that can amplify your impact, no matter your field of study. Whether you dream of working in a nonprofit, launching a startup, managing creative projects, or leading change in your industry, understanding the language of business is a game-changer.

Through a mix of interactive classes, case studies, and group projects, you’ll explore real-world business challenges from multiple perspectives. You’ll apply what you learn in a capstone consulting project (BUS 401), working with an actual client to solve a real business problem—an experience that sets your resume apart.

SFU students must apply and be admitted to the program to enroll in Business Minor courses. See admission requirements.
