B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI)
The B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI) connects small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agritech sector with academic researchers, government and industry partners to develop technology solutions that build resilient supply chains and generate global solutions for food security and climate change.
BC Support Unit Fraser Centre
Fraser Health and 91ÅÝܽ launched the BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre to help support, streamline and increase patient-oriented research throughout British Columbia. Patient-oriented research engages patients as partners and focuses on patient-identified priorities with the goals of improving patient experiences, health outcomes and the health system.
Charles Chang Institute for Entrepreneurship
The Charles Chang Institute for Entrepreneurship focuses on creating Canada’s most comprehensive and inclusive continuum of interdisciplinary, experiential programming to develop the entrepreneurial mindset, working closely with all SFU faculties and innovation partners in one of Canada’s most supportive university ecosystems.
IMAGETECH LAB
SFU's ImageTech Lab is a leading medical imaging research facility—the first lab of its kind in Western Canada. The lab, embedded at Surrey Memorial Hospital, promises to bring rapid innovations to medical imaging and will be a cornerstone in Surrey’s Health Technology District.
The Quantum Algorithms Institute works with companies across industries to build experience in the real-world application of quantum solutions. Their goal is to increase quantum literacy and grow the quantum talent pool available for B.C.
Smart Manufacturing Hub
The space is the first-of-its-kind in Western Canada and comes equipped with a training system that simulates a highly automated smart factory.
WearTech Labs
91ÅÝܽ's (SFU) WearTech Labs is an SFU Core Facility for the research and development (R&D) of wearable technologies (wearables). At WearTech Labs, wearables go beyond smart watches and fitness trackers to also include exoskeletons, prosthetics, earphones, shoes, technical clothing, gear and more.
