Automated Beautidful Machine (ABM)

Course: IAT 106 Spatial Thinking and Communicating
Description: An IAT 106 final project, design and manufacture an ABM (automaton), this project is a type 1 ABM: Housing is made beautiful, the mechanical components connect different parts of the flexible housing to generate a beautiful motion.
It simulates a character dances, the motions are primarily swinging, there is two different motions, one for the character’s head and hair, the other one is the arms and the legs. The arms movement involves gears in opposite direction (sun and planet gear). Crank and cams, cams and followers mechanics are used to empower the body and the hair.
