Mark's Biography

Mark Nazemi is an experienced educator, interdisciplinary researcher, and creative technologist with over 20 years of teaching experience in interactive media, sound design, and digital health. He holds a PhD from 91ÅÝܽ, where he currently serves as a full-time Lecturer in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT). At SIAT, he teaches courses in creative coding, wearable technology, digital media production, and interactive design. He is also the co-founder of , an immersive wellness studio that integrates spatial audio, biofeedback, and 360° projection to create restorative multisensory experiences crafted for deep human connection and calibrated for healing.

Mark’s research interests center on the intersection of spatial audio, immersive technologies, and neuroarts, with a particular focus on how multisensory environments can regulate the nervous system, foster resilience, and enhance human flourishing. His doctoral work on sound and pain management has been presented at leading international conferences, and his interactive installations have been exhibited in galleries and festivals worldwide. His teaching philosophy emphasizes hands-on learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and critical making. By combining technical training with creative inquiry, Mark prepares students to thrive in the rapidly evolving fields of digital art, interactive media, and neuroaesthetics-driven design.
