The SFU Nobel Prize Lectures

Each year, the Faculty of Science chooses experts from SFU to explain the importance of the most recent Nobel Prizes awarded for physics, chemistry and medicine/physiology. The 2026 Nobel Lectures, celebrating the 2025 Nobel Prizes, will be held in spring 2026 at the Science World Theatre.

Dr. Andrei Frolov presents at the 2025 Nobel Prize Lectures

The , celebrating the 2024 Nobel Prizes, were presented by Timothy Audas (Molecular Biology and Biochemistry) for the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology, Dustin King (Department of  Molecular Biology and Biochemistry) for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry and Andrei Frolov (Physics) for the Nobel Prize in Physics

The , celebrating the 2023 Nobel Prizes, were presented by Dr. Mark Brockman (Molecular Biology and Biochemistry) for the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology, Dr. Byron Gates (Chemistry) for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry and Dr. Shawn Sederberg (School of Engineering Science) for the Nobel Prize in Physics.
