Biography
Neha is an MA student at 91ÅÝܽ's Philosophy department. Previously, she completed an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology at Ashoka University, India.
SFU's philosophy department is such a welcoming and supportive community. The faculty is wonderful and encouraging, and they really want students to thrive, often going out of their way to ensure that they do. I am so grateful to be a part of this program, and I simply cannot say enough good things about it.

Hurt Feelings
Often, in our interpersonal relationships, we feel hurt by the things that our loved ones say, do, or don’t. In this paper, I examine what, exactly, causes such hurt feelings. I argue that we feel hurt when we believe that someone else thinks badly of us, and we desire a relationship with them in which they value us.
