Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?
Beedie is highly recognized by lots of international and local companies. Additionally, the school provides a wealth of networking events, seminars, information sessions and resources that align perfectly with my goal of advancing my career in finance. I am confident that its comprehensive courses and resources will help me grow both personally and professionally.
What has been your moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?
One of my most memorable experiences so far was attending the Beedie Finance Connect Event. During this networking event, I had the chance to meet and interact with professionals in different finance companies in Vancouver, which gave me valuable insights into Canadian business culture and career opportunities. I’m looking forward to learning more about the finance sector and preparing well through this program.
How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?
I would describe SFU Beedie’s culture as both inclusive and diverse. With a substantial international population, the school actively encourages students to integrate into the local community by organizing various activities and supporting numerous clubs, while also respecting and celebrating our unique cultural backgrounds. Beedie also offers abundant opportunities for learning and collaboration, fostering a supportive environment in which everyone can thrive. They are always happy to offer help whenever you need assistance or have any questions. The environment is friendly and supportive.
