What impact does my referral have?

Great leaders recognize great potential and your insight carries weight. Your referral helps us identify high-caliber candidates and gives them a warm introduction to the SFU Beedie community. While a referral doesn’t guarantee admission, it allows us to personally connect with the individual, provide guidance on the application process, and offer support along the way.

Can I refer more than one person?

Absolutely. Each separate referral adds another entry into the draw (up to a maximum of five entries).

Is there a deadline to refer someone?

Referrals are accepted on a rolling basis, but we recommend submitting your referral before the application deadline your nominee is targeting. Contest deadline: December 1, 2026.

Do I need permission from the person I’m referring?

Yes, you must have their explicit consent before sharing any personal information (name, email address, or other contact details) with SFU Beedie. This ensures we respect their privacy and comply with data protection guidelines.

Is there an application fee refund for all referred applicants?

Referred applicants who meet the eligibility criteria may receive a refund of the application fee. This is determined after initial review by the admissions team.
