Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

With over 14 years dedicated entirely to marketing, I felt it was time to invest in my professional growth by gaining a broader business perspective. This step would open doors to new roles and industries, enabling me to explore untapped potential. Additionally, I was drawn to pursue my MBA at SFU because of its multicultural environment, which offers the opportunity to learn from diverse perspectives and deepen my understanding of global business.

What has been your moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

During my time at Beedie, my experience has been filled with learning and growth, enriched by moments that have challenged me. What I’ve particularly enjoyed is connecting with my diverse classmates, who come from various backgrounds and cultures and bring unique perspectives to our daily sessions. It has been incredibly inspiring to learn from their experiences and broaden my own understanding of the world.

How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?

In my opinion, SFU Beedie's culture is truly inclusive and diverse. It's a welcoming and engaging environment where students from various backgrounds come together to learn and grow. Also, professors and staff are very friendly and supportive, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Beedie's inclusive culture fosters respect for diverse perspectives, teaching us to remain open to others' opinions, even when we disagree. This makes it a dynamic and enriching environment for learning.
