"I’ve found that no matter who you’re speaking with—whether it’s professors, students, or the recruitment team—there’s always something valuable to gain"

Why did you decide to pursue an MBA and what drew you to the SFU Beedie School of Business?

After 5 years of marketing exposure, I wanted to expand my horizons into some of my dream industries in entertainment, gaming, and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). As such, I needed to learn the whole business processes in detail. I chose SFU because they are a university that provides practical courses as well as a great support system via the staff, CMC, and ambassador program to improve your confidence and personal branding. I feel like I am in the right hands at SFU Beedie.

What has been your moment or experience at Beedie so far? What are you looking forward to?

As I am only in my first semester, I have yet to experience to full scope. However, networking events and an intense orientation gave me insight that SFU Beedie is here to incubate their talent.

How would you describe SFU Beedie’s culture?

Meaningful conversations. At SFU Beedie, I’ve found that no matter who you’re speaking with—whether it’s professors, students, or the recruitment team—there’s always something valuable to gain from their experiences and perspectives on life and the industry. They are genuinely here to converse, incubate, and make your time worthwhile as much as they can.
