ICE-TeA: The International Consortium for Ethics in Technology and Aging

ICE-TEA Achievements
- Carried out a rapid review of ethical issues within AgeTech
- Facilitated 9 national and international workshops and symposia
- Established an Ethical AgeTech Community of Practice (CoP)
- Developed knowledge mobilization materials and publications, including a book proposal for AGE-WELL's AgeTech book series on Ethics, Technology and Aging published through Springer Nature
Workshops & Symposia
Three international co-creation workshops on "AgeTech, Ethics and Equity" took place in June 2023 in Dundee, Scotland with a report published on key findings and recommendations: AgeTech, Ethics and Equity: Towards a Cultural Shift in AgeTech Ethical Responsibility.
One national co-creation workshop on "Working Towards Culture Change and Ethical Design Thinking in the AgeTech Sector" took place in October 2023 in Toronto, Ontario at the .
Two national co-creation workshops on "Designing Technology for Seniors" took place in March and April 2024 at in North Vancouver and in East Vancouver, British Columbia.
Two national and international workshops to develop ICE-TEA's Community of Practice and provide recommendations for ICE-TEA 2.0 took place in May 2024.
