Biography
Ida completed her Honours BSc in Health Sciences at 91ÅÝܽ. Her Honours thesis explored the use of AI in paediatric healthcare spaces, providing recommendations and guidelines to policy makers, allied health professionals, and patients. Ida’s work in the Sensorimotor Neuroscience lab explores how vision impacts decision making during walking, with the hopes of using this research to provide innovative solutions that address the needs of the visually impaired. Outside of her education, Ida founded and presides over the Allies In Health Network, an organization that implements grassroots projects to directly address community health issues such as homelessness and climate change. When she’s not studying decision making, Ida studies her opponents’ sword fighting moves, decides between great hiking and foraging trails, and picks a new reading, knitting, or culinary project.
