Synopsis
Explosions happen on very different scales, from small firecrackers to huge cosmic events like supernovae. Even though they are different, all explosions release energy very quickly, creating pressure waves and shock effects. In this presentation, I will talk about the physics behind explosions, including how energy is transferred, how pressure changes, and how waves move. I will also compare artificial explosions with natural ones to see what they have in common and how they are different. The goal is to give a simple but clear idea of how explosions work in both everyday life and space.
