Meet your CS Peer Tutors - Fall 2025

Say "hello" to these friendly tutors. They are excited to meet you and help with any questions you might have—big or small!

No need to worry about asking “silly” questions—there’s no such thing here. They are all students too and know how helpful it can be to have someone to talk to who gets it and has taken the same courses already.

Seyed Nima Seifi Hessar

I can help you in: CMPT 120, CMPT 125, and MACM 101

Hi everyone, my name is Nima and I recently completed my CS degree from SFU with a minor in Math. I’m especially interested in machine learning and HCI. I primarily work in Python, JavaScript and C but can help solve your bugs in whatever language (probably). Excited to meet you and support however I can.

Navjot Singh

I can help you in: CMPT 225

Hi everyone! I’m Navjot, a Computing Science student at SFU with interests in algorithms, data structures, problem-solving, and software design. I primarily work with C++, Python, and HTML, and I enjoy breaking down complex problems into clear, understandable steps. I believe that a solid understanding of fundamentals makes learning much easier and more rewarding. I’m looking forward to supporting you in CMPT 225 and helping you build confidence in tackling problems.
