Laura Schnurr (she/her) is director of community climate transitions at Tamarack Institute, where she partners with cities and communities to advance just, equitable and sustainable futures. Her career has spanned philanthropy, government and non-profit organizations, including positions at the McConnell Foundation and Employment and Social Development Canada’s Social Innovation Division. Laura holds a master’s in global studies and a bachelor of commerce. She co-authored a book on United Nations reform and co-founded a social enterprise working in Uganda and Canada.
