  1. Project Manager, Indigenizing Health Research Ethics Project

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated full-time (37.5 hours/week) Project Manager to join our transformative project and research team. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with the Centre staff (i.e., Director, Senior Research Manager, Research Assistants and Indigenous Trainees), BC Network Environment for Indigenous Health Research (BC NEIHR), FNHA, Principal Investigators, Elder Advisors, Indigenous Research Trainees, Co-Applicants, Collaborators, and SFU interdisciplinary teams to lead and facilitate research activities associated with this project.

The Project Manager will offer support to the research team by project managing all project timelines and deliverables, leading a team of research assistants, developing project updates for the larger project team, and maintaining ethics applications and fiscal reports. The Project Manager will offer research and analytical support to project activities, including leading the development of a scoping review, conducting data collection and data analysis, facilitating future project related events, facilitating team meetings and providing support to the Nominated Principal Applicant (NPA) and Senior Research Manager on project tasks/activities, synthesis of information gathered during engagement systems with research ethics partners and team meetings. The Project Manager will contribute to a preliminary and final research report along with supporting the NPA on the dissemination of the research findings and knowledge exchange activities.

APPLICATION DETAILS

  • Status: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) position for a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension.
  • Salary: $70,000/year
  • Location: Remote work within BC. Candidate must be based in BC, as there will be occasional in-person research gatherings and team meetings in Vancouver and at our Centre office at SFU Burnaby Campus.

The successful candidate must be able to start by October 1, 2025

Visiting Indigenous Scholar Program

The objective of the Visiting Indigenous Scholar Program through the Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Centre for Collaborative Action on Indigenous Health Governance is to provide unique opportunities to Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit and globally) postdoctoral applicants who wish to conduct Indigenous health research within British Columbia. 

Recipients of these fellowships demonstrate achievement in graduate studies, a research-intensive career pathway, as well as partnership potential within BC Indigenous communities, collectives, and organizations.
