Engineering Materials for Energy Systems SEE 222 (3)

Introduction to engineering materials course designed around the principle of structure, property and performance relationship. Topics will include crystalline solids, diffusion, equilibrium phase diagrams, mechanical properties, principles of material failure; structure and properties of polymers, ceramics, composites, nano-materials and electronic materials. Prerequisite: CHEM 121 or (CHEM 122 and CHEM 126). Students with credit for MSE 220 or ENSC 330 may not take this course for further credit.
