Candid Long COVID exhibit opens at MOV – SFU experts available

October 03, 2025

The Museum of Vancouver (MOV), in collaboration with 91ܽ’s Faculty of Health Sciences, unveils a , bringing visibility to the lived experiences of those navigating the lasting effects of COVID-19.

Titled Living with Long COVID, the exhibit features powerful photos and reflections from 46 Canadian “Longhaulers” — people living with persistent symptoms following a COVID-19 infection. An estimated one in nine Canadians have experienced Long COVID.

“This exhibition is a unique opportunity to understand Long COVID through the eyes of those living it,” says Rackeb Tesfaye, SFU project lead and senior scientist in the Faculty of Health Sciences. “These stories challenge stigma, foster empathy, and call attention to the urgent need for care and research.”

Living with Long COVID runs from October 4, 2025, to March 22, 2026 at the Museum of Vancouver. SFU experts are available for media interviews and commentary on the exhibition and the broader impacts of Long COVID.
