Earthquake in B.C. – SFU experts available

An earthquake struck B.C.’s Sunshine Coast on Friday, Feb. 21, just before 1.30p.m. and could be felt across the Lower Mainland. The earthquake was measured by , which is considered medium strength.

SFU experts Brent Ward and John Clague can talk about the earthquake, the reason B.C. is a hotbed of seismic activity, and how a medium sized earthquake such as this one should be viewed as a wake-up call for better earthquake preparedness.
