91ÅÝܽ the Film

Nada is an Argentine dramedy television series created by Gastón Duprat and Mariano Cohn, starring Luis Brandoni alongside Robert De Niro. Released in October 2023, the show blends sharp humor with heartfelt drama against the vibrant backdrop of Buenos Aires.

At its center is Manuel Tamayo Prats (Brandoni), a wealthy and eccentric food critic whose carefully ordered life unravels after the death of his longtime housekeeper. His story is narrated with warmth and wit by his old friend Vincent Parisi (De Niro), who eventually travels to Buenos Aires to reconnect and help Manuel through his crisis.

Shot on location in some of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods — from the colorful streets of La Boca to the elegant avenues of Recoleta — Nada is as much a love letter to Buenos Aires as it is a character study. The series also celebrates Argentina’s culinary treasures, from sizzling bife de chorizo steaks to decadent desserts drenched in dulce de leche, that caramel-like indulgence at the heart of the nation’s sweet tooth.

Told across five tightly woven half-hour episodes, Nada charms with its blend of cultural flavor, dry wit, and unexpected tenderness — with De Niro even sprinkling in bits of Argentine slang for good measure.
