Career Chat: Burnaby Public Library

Come with your friends, and learn how working at the Burnaby Public Library can complement your degree.

A librarian will give a presentation about careers and community initiatives at Burnaby Public Library, followed by an opportunity for students to ask their questions. 

Snacks and swag will be provided! All students are welcome.

Please note that registration is appreciated, as it helps us to estimate catering needs, but not required to attend the event.

Presenter Bio:

Jamie McCarthy (she/her) is the Adult Public Services Coordinator at the Burnaby Public Library and specializes in planning programs and services for Burnaby’s diverse community, including author talks, computer courses, and English Language Learning conversation circles. Prior to this role, she launched Bob Prittie Metrotown’s Digital Studio, which features recording studios, digitization software, and creative software. She has held a variety of roles at Burnaby Public Library including Acting Branch Manager, Adult Public Service Librarian, and Children’s Librarian. She is also a 91ÅÝܽ alumnus and enjoys connecting with folks in Burnaby.
