Joeun is a Master's student in the School of Criminology at 91ÅÝܽ. Joeun finished her undergraduate degree in Criminology Honours at 91ÅÝܽ, where she carried over her interest in cybercrime to graduate school. Her research focuses on using machine learning to detect sex trafficking activity online, cyber slavery, and online dissemination of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Currently, under Dr. Richard Frank's supervision, she is working on a predictive model that is informed by open-source intelligence to map sex trafficking circuits in Canada.
