Areas of interest

Dr. Jaspreet completed his Ph.D. in Engineering Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in late 2022. He then moved to Canada and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at 91ÅÝܽ (SFU) in early 2025. During his postdoctoral research, he worked with advanced numerical modelling and remote sensing techniques to investigate landslides in British Columbia and Patagonian Andes Chile. His research interests focus on landslides, debris flows, rock mechanics, and geohazard risk assessment. He adopts an integrative approach that combines field investigation, laboratory experiments, remote sensing, and numerical modelling to better understand and mitigate geohazards.
