Transform the SFU Experience
Tuition waiver process improvements
To improve user experience and operational efficiency, the tuition waiver application process is transitioning from paper forms to an online web form, launching for the Summer 2025 term. This new system simplifies the application process, provides real-time tracking through automated notifications during the approval stages and significantly reduces processing times.
This new process will benefit current SFU employees, although service contract workers, faculty associates and retiree still need to submit paper forms as these groups have different approval processes. To ensure a smooth transition, please delay submitting tuition waiver applications for the summer term until February 28. Please refer to the to guide you through the new approval process.
