Your convocation day
QUICK TIPS
- Arrive on time and go to the AQ 3000 Southeast corner (near Mackenzie Cafe) between:
- 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. for a morning ceremony
- 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. for an afternoon ceremony.
- Check the forecast and dress for the weather!
- Bring your SFU student I.D. or a government issued I.D. (driver’s license, passport); you'll need it to get your parchment!
- Make sure your guests are prepared. Remind your guests that seating is outdoors and that large bags are not permitted per SFU's bag policy. Guests should go find their seats early as seating is first-come, first-served. Guest tickets are required to enter the Convocation Mall.
- Before you send your guests to Convocation Mall and line up for your procession, give them your purse/bag, flowers, balloons, and other large items to hold onto during the ceremony.
Seriously, arriving on time, or even early, will give you enough time to go through the process of picking up your parchment, getting your gown, getting your family/friends seated and then lining up to convocate without feeling rushed!

VISIT THE SFU ALUMNI BOOTH
Stop by the SFU Alumni booth in the AQ Gardens to pick up your alumni pin, grab some free goodies, learn about your benefits and more! To pick-up your pin, just and bring your SFU ID. Grads who update their mailing address in the form will receive a chance to win an Alumni Prize Pack.

Shop grad gifts, degree frames and more! The SFU Bookstore & Spirit Shop will have a graduation pop-up shop next to Convocation Mall in the Diamond Family Auditorium.
