On April 24th, 2025, the Aging in the Right Place: Co-Creating Housing For Older Adults community forum brought together over 30 community members, including housing providers, healthcare professionals, government representatives, and individuals with lived experience, to foster dialogue and explore inclusive housing solutions for older adults aging in the right place.

Members of the community forum were guided through meaningful conversations, following a World Café format designed to encourage open dialogue and collective insight. Eight photo-voice boards created by co-researchers with lived experience showcased images and reflections on what supports or challenges their ability to age in the right place. Findings from interviews with housing providers were also shared, offering insights into the supports and barriers they face.

This report summarizes the key themes and patterns that were identified by members at the community forum. By holding space for collective dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration, the forum demonstrated the power of community-led solutions in addressing the challenges of aging in the right place. Continued efforts in knowledge mobilization, sharing insights and amplifying lived experiences are essential to driving meaningful change for older adults and building more inclusive, supportive housing systems.
