Terminology, language and protocols

As part of our collective work to Uphold Truth and Reconciliation at SFU, we want to provide the SFU community with culturally-informed guidance on a variety of topics, including how to acknowledge traditional Indigenous lands, inclusive and antiracist language for writers and communicators and Indigenous protocols for ceremonies and other events.

The guidance and resources contained or linked to in this section should be seen as living documents that may be added to or amended over time.

Indigenous Protocols
